Frozen – Revised

Trees dripping silver
split
between life and death.

Beautiful and
treacherous
as my dead grandmother’s face.

Skin peeled
exposing
light from dark.

Bloodless pools
reflecting
black below.

Silence whispers
secrets
of colorless silhouettes.

Sharpened daggers
pierce
the sky, spilling

shattered diamonds
at
my feet.

Turning towards

sunlight

I

melt.
